Yesterday I mentioned my
skepticism of TamPogo
because of two reasons:
- I can't locate any reliable information about the company;
- I can't even browse their store since it wasn't open yet.
The store's “Grand Opening” is supposed to be July 15th.
According to the calendar, today is July 15th. And by
4:30pm I would have expected the store to be open.
Ooh look!
“Coming Soon. Grand Opening July 15.”
Or is it the case that I have to sign up to shop?
Update at 9:30pm on July 16th, 2009
I've received some strong feedback on this entry for basically making
snarkish remarks on a site that hasn't even opened yet. And yes, I admit,
this was a cheap shot, given that the Computer Industry has an extensive
history of late products.
Why,
hello, Mr. Kettle. Nice to
meet you. That's some mighty fine crow you have
there.
Tasty crow aside, I've also had to make major editing changes to yesterday's entry due to some
changes TamPogo has made over the past 24 hours.
You have my permission to link freely to any entry here. Go
ahead, I won't bite. I promise.
The dates are the permanent links to that day's entries (or
entry, if there is only one entry). The titles are the permanent
links to that entry only. The format for the links are
simple: Start with the base link for this site: https://boston.conman.org/, then add the date you are
interested in, say 2000/08/01,
so that would make the final URL:
https://boston.conman.org/2000/08/01
You can also specify the entire month by leaving off the day
portion. You can even select an arbitrary portion of time.
You may also note subtle shading of the links and that's
intentional: the “closer” the link is (relative to the
page) the “brighter” it appears. It's an experiment in
using color shading to denote the distance a link is from here. If
you don't notice it, don't worry; it's not all that
important.
It is assumed that every brand name, slogan, corporate name,
symbol, design element, et cetera mentioned in these pages is a
