Frequency, a movie staring
Dennis Quaid and James Caviezel, is a time travel story without the travel.
Basically, a freak solar storm in 1969 and 1999 allow a father (in 1969) to
speak to his son (in 1999) over a short-wave radio set (the same set as it
turns out). Given that leap of faith, and the the belief that changes made
in the past change the future, it's fairly consistent in its treatment and
an interesting twist to the time travel genre. Worth seeing if you into
that type of film.
